Finnish teen pop sensation Robin Packalen was born on August 24, 1998 in the coastal city of Turku. An internet sensation by the age of 15, Robin's 2012 debut single "Frontside Ollie," named after a popular skateboard trick, garnered over 11 million YouTube hits and sat atop the Finnish pop charts uncontested for weeks on end. That same year, Packalen made his film debut in a documentary called Robin - The Movie, and released his debut album, Koodi, the latter of which went quintuple platinum. His second long-player, Chillaa, arrived later that fall, and was followed by Boom Kah in 2013. ~ James Christopher Monger
