Acerca de Youth Killed It
Norwich, England-based Youth Killed It delivered their sardonic look at British society and politics with their 2017 debut album, Modern Bollotics, channeling the rich lineage of British socio-political bands from Crass to Sleaford Mods.

Formed out of the ashes of scene-gigging metallers Under the Influence, Jack Murphy (vocals/guitar), Carlos Montero (guitar), Josh Thexton (bass), Ben Ford (drums), and Josh Arter-Taylor (guitar), decided to shift their attention in 2016 from brash metal to '90s Brit-pop and early-2000s indie rock, changing their moniker along the way. Taking inspiration from the changing political landscape of the U.K. and highlighting social injustice, the group delivered their self-released EP Welcome to the Sad Boys Club and its counterpart Welcome to the Happy Girls Club, that same year. Signed by Italian punk label Rude Records -- home to the likes of Emery and Guttermouth -- off the back of those releases, the group wasted no time in issuing their debut album, 2017's Modern Bollotics. Live dates followed, including slots with like-minded acts such as Slaves and MassMatiks, before the band returned to the studio to record their second album. Focusing on the fallout of Brexit, the disgruntled British public, and social ills, the tongue-in-cheek titled What's So Great, Britain? was issued in late 2018, preceded by the singles "Great British Summer" and "Where Did It All Go Wrong?" ~ Rich Wilson
