Acerca de The McClymonts
An Australian country music trio of sisters, the McClymonts first arrived on the Aussie new country scene in June 2006 with their self-titled debut EP. Within the year, sisters Brooke McClymont, Samantha McClymont, and Mollie McClymont found themselves on tour with Lee Kernaghan, hitting the Australian country singles charts with "Something That My Heart Does." They hit number one with "Baby's Gone Home" and were nominated for Best New Talent at the 2007 Golden Guitar Awards, winning the same award at the Jayco Country Music Awards in 2007. 2007 also found the sisters recording their debut album, Chaos and Bright Lights, with many of Nashville's leading producers. Both the EP and the album were released through Universal. They spent the remainder of 2007 touring in support of their recordings. Their debut went on to achieve their first nomination at the ARIA Awards, for Best Country Album. In 2009, Brooke would become the first sister to get married, to country singer Adam Eckersley. The following year the McClymonts released their sophomore album, Wrapped Up Good, which coincided with the U.S. release of their debut. Wrapped Up Good reached number two on the Australian charts, and led to a massive tour, including a leg in the U.S. where they found a solid fan base. As soon as they finished touring, the sisters returned to the studio, recording their third album, 2012's Two Worlds Collide. Later the same year, Brooke had her first daughter, causing the trio to take a step back from their busy schedules, if only for a little while. By 2014, the McClymonts had finished recording their fourth album, Here's to You & I. The next three years saw both Samantha and Mollie get married, with the latter having a son of her own in 2015. Their fifth album, Endless, was released in 2017, marking a noticeable shift away from their country roots to incorporate elements of pop music. The album went straight to number one on the Australian country charts -- their fourth consecutive album to do so -- and entered at number three on the overall chart. ~ Chris True
