Teni is the stage name of the award-winning Nigerian singer-songwriter and actress Teniola Apata, who is known for her socially conscious lyrics and colorful fashion sense.
∙ The younger sister of popular Nigerian singer Niniola, Teni began singing and playing drums at age two.
∙ Despite graduating college with a degree in business administration, she decided to pursue a music career after a video of her song “Fargin” went viral in 2017.
∙ She cowrote the 2017 hit “Like Dat” for the Nigerian superstar Davido.
