After a string of juvenile releases following her win on the popular singing contest Mamamia Show, Mytha Lestari—born Paramytha Lestari Mulyarto in 1991—took a swing in a new direction with her sophomore set, 2016’s Cuma Punya Hati. Rebranding with a more grown-up sound and look, Lestari opted for a piano-based backdrop that aptly showcases her vocal prowess, unchanged since her teens, such as on the stirring “Tanpa Melodi” and the lilting “Denganmu Cinta”. In addition to music, Lestari has branched out to screen and stage, taking on leading roles in TV and musical theatre.
