Acerca de Kids United
Kids United formed as a six-piece children's pop group out of France. Ranging in age from eight to 15, Erza Muqolli, Esteban Durand, Gabriel Gros, Gloria Palermo de Blasi, Nilusi Nissanka, and Carla Georges founded the group in 2015 under the guidance of singer Hélène Ségara and UNICEF. Some of the kids were known from various French television singing competitions, like The Voice Kids. They charted at home later in 2015 with their first single, "On Écrit sur les Murs," a cover of the Demis Roussos song from 1989. The group's peace-themed debut album, Un Monde Meilleur, arrived a few weeks later in November 2015, and also included covers of John Lennon's "Imagine," Pharrell Williams' "Happy," and, among several other French-language songs, "Toi + Moi," a 2008 hit in parts of Europe by Grégoire. Featuring guest spots by Ségara and Corneille, and with some proceeds going to UNICEF, the album hit number one in France and number seven in Switzerland. They followed with Tout le Bonheur du Monde in 2016, the same year Georges parted ways with the group to pursue a solo career. Following the release of Le Live, Kids United scored their third chart-topping hit in 2017 with Forever United. ~ Marcy Donelson
