Cienfuegos
Acerca de Cienfuegos
Argentinean Latin rock band Cienfuegos got involved in the local scene in the early '80s, playing under the name of los Marginados. In 1996, the group, led by ex-los Fabulosos Cadillacs Sergio Rotman, self-produced its first album. A year later, Cienfuegos participated in a local compilation called Buenos Aires City Rockers 2, released by Resiste Records, featuring the Clash's "Straight to Hell." In 1998, NS/NC (No Sabe/No Contesta) came out with a successful cover of Taking Heads' "Once in a Lifetime." In 1999, Divididos' Ricardo Mollo produced the band's third album, Hacia El Cosmos, featuring a Latin-flavor version of Joy Division's "Love Will Tear Us Apart." ~ Drago Bonacich
