Acerca de Cloud Rat
A decibel-crushing, politically charged grindcore-punk unit from the mid-Michigan college town of Mt. Pleasant, Cloud Rat evokes the fevered, rapid assault attack of genre heavies like Pig Destroyer, Brutal Truth, and Agoraphobic Nosebleed. Formed in 2010 around the core trio of frontwoman Madison Marshall, guitarist Rorik Brooks, and drummer Adrian Manges, the band cites anti-oppression, anti-discrimination, veganism, radical feminism, anarchism, paganism, and "other relevant-isms" as well springs of inspiration, and adhere to a strictly non-corporate D.I.Y. approach to gigging, recording, and releasing music. Since coming together in 2010, the band has issued a bevy of split 7"s, cassettes, and LPs, including 2013's Moksha and 2015's critically acclaimed Qliphoth, the latter of which was the first album to feature the abrasive electronics of newest Cloud Rat member Brandon Hill.
