Yogyakarta-born Citra Scholastika rose to prominence thanks to the 2010 edition of Indonesian Idol, finishing runner-up as one of the youngest contestants in the show’s history. Her jazzy, coquettish voice won the hearts of millions during the show’s run, but it was her 2014 debut Pasti Bisa, a collection of jaunty, easy-listening nuggets, that solidified her place in the Indonesian mainstream. In later years, Scholastika has also delved into Christian pop to more acclaim, cementing her as a versatile, well-rounded artist beyond the Idol franchise.
