Acerca de Bananagun
Drawing heavily from vintage psychedelia including Tropicalia, '70s Afro-beat, and summery retro pop, Bananagun emerged from Australia in the late 2010s. Their first three songs were collected on the Do Yeah EP in 2019.
Naming the Monks and Os Mutantes among their most direct inspirations, Bananagun was formed in 2016 by members of Parsnip and Frowning Clouds, including songwriter Nicholas Van Bakel. Their first song, "Do Yeah," arrived on Australian indie Anti Fade Records in early 2019. The song opened their three-track debut EP of the same name, which followed on Full Time Hobby later the same year.
