Acerca de The Comsat Angels
Dream Command was a short-lived, ill-fated alias for Sheffield, England's Comsat Angels. Early on in the Comsats' career, they began receiving legal threats from the Communications Satellite Corporation thanks to their moniker, which was actually taken from a short story by J.G. Ballard. The issue took a serious turn when the U.S.-based company somehow "received word" of the band's intent to tour their country in the early '80s. From that point forth, the band was forced to perform and release their records in the States under a different name, the C.S. Angels. rnPossibly tiring of being marketed in different countries under different names, the band opted to go with Dream Command for 1990's Fire on the Moon, which Island ended up releasing in the U.S. and Holland only. It's just as well that the record didn't receive much exposure -- hampered by dry hard rock and made with the Comsats' singular personality completely jettisoned, the album was soon deleted from the shelves after its release. The members would re-group a couple years later and return to making music for themselves rather than their label. ~ Andy Kellman
